Sevilla boss Berizzo returns to sideline in draw with Levante after cancer surgery


Argentine Eduardo Berizzo became Sevilla boss this summer

Sevilla boss Eduardo Berizzo returned to the sideline after his prostate cancer surgery – as winger Jesus Navas broke the appearance record for the club in a draw with Levante.

Berizzo missed five games after having an operation following his cancer diagnosis – with assistant Ernesto Marcucci taking temporary charge.

They drew 0-0 with Levante to remain fifth in La Liga.

Winger Navas, 32, came on in the second half for his 416th Sevilla appearance.

The Spain international started his career with his hometown club, before leaving for Manchester City in 2013. He returned to Sevilla this summer and has made 23 appearances this season.

Sevilla have not lost a home game in 2017, with 17 wins and nine draws,
