the great celebrity bake off

The Great British Bake Off is back next week for its annual charity series, and this year the producers have gone all out in getting some of the biggest names in showbiz to take part.

Here’s everything you need to know, including when The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C is back on, who the contestants are, who will be presenting the next series of the main show and how to apply to compete yourself.

When does The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C air?

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is back on Tuesday 10 March at 8pm on Channel 4.

It will be a five-part series, with a different line-up of bakers every episode. On each show, four celebrities will compete against one another to be crowned star baker, and it will all be done in the name of raising money for Cancer Research UK.

In these modern times, you don’t just have to watch the bakers struggle with a technical recipe the traditional way. Instead, you can watch on All 4 – live or on-demand with catch-up through a wide range of devices including smart TVs, games consoles, media streamers, phones and tablets.

Who will be presenting GBBO 2020?

Though the British public have come to love the dynamic duo that is Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig, Channel Four have announced that Sandi will be leaving the show to pursue other projects, including a brand new show coming to Channel 4 – The Write Offs – which is centred around the theme of adult literacy.

On her departure Sandi stated, “As my waistline will testify, Bake Off is an all-consuming show. Spending time with Prue, Paul and Noel has been one of the great pleasures of my life. These are friendships which I know will continue beyond the confines of television. Bake Off is a wonderful programme which has already proved it can happily withstand a change of hosting personnel.”

Channel 4 has confirmed that Noel, Prue and Paul will all return for the next series, and that the producers are on the search for a new presenter. It’s still early days to predict who this will be, but we’ll provide more information as we have it.

Fortunately, we won’t be getting this major change just yet. Sandi, Noel, Prue and Paul will all be presenting and judging on The Great Celebrity Bake Off
